- Avoid sugary snacks between meals, which increase bacteria in the mouth
- Try cutting down on strongly flavored or spicy food that may make your breath smell
- Brush your tongue
- Clean your dentures well regularly
- Eat breakfast because it gets the saliva flowing and cleans the mouth
- Rinse with water often
